International publications direct
The Association has extended its reseller agreements in order to increase member access to sought-after international publications. This service forms part of the revision of and improvements to member benefits as outlined in the March 2010 issue of ‘Fire Protection’.
The FPASA is the sole agent for FPA (UK) publications in the Southern African region including South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Angola.
The FPA (UK) produces a wide variety of technical publications and DVD’s which will add value to any fire safety management system. These provide excellent technical references for enhancing fire safety training and improving best practice strategies.
The Association has been an official reseller of NFPA publications since 1982 and has strengthened its agreement to benefit members even more.
We can provide hard copies of most NFPA publications and Codes are available either individually or as complete sets. The NFPA Handbook, Life Safety Code Handbook, other publications and public safety pamphlets are obtainable directly from our offices.
The benefits of this direct availability to members include:
- Discounts on the non-members catalogue prices for publications from these publishers (freight and import duties will be added).
- An accessible catalogue detailing recommended publications for Southern Africa needs will soon be available in hard copy and on the FPASA web-site.
- Comment on the suitability of these publications for the needs of members will also be provided where required prior to purchase.
