David Poxon - the end of an era

It is with a heavy heart that the FPASA announces the passing of a legendary figurehead at the FPASA and FPA-UK, Mr. David Poxon.

David dedicated his life to the fire services, fire education, and training in South Africa when he served as the GM and then the MD for many years.

His tenacity and passion lead to the development of a multitude of fire codes, as well as improved regulation within the fire industry.

Though he has left the material plane, his contributions to society at large will never be forgotten.

Fire Risk Management and SX Plants

The importance of fire risk management in insurance is critical.

We recently conducted a presentation on fire risk management, touching on fire safety for SX plants (solvent extraction).

It's an interesting insurance risk if managed well.

Attached is the article for some light reading.
