FPASA on Fire Investigator Registration Process

FPASA is the Voluntary Association (VA) for the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). “Fire Origin and Cause Investigation” is a gazetted field of practice under which Fire Investigators may register. The FPASA has been the conduit in establishing the application and registration process with SACNASP. SACNASP is now open to receiving and considering applications for registration as a Professional Fire Investigator in SA, pending a review of a submitted portfolio of evidence and a panel interview. The current members of the Professional Advisory Committee (technical review panel) are Professor Asante of the Tshwane University of Technology (Chair), as well as Andre de Beer, CEO of Hexagon Fire.

FPASA Covid-19 Risk Mitigation: decontamination complete

Good day loyal customers!

We hope that everyone is still staying safe, and respecting recommended and compulsory safety practices.

At the FPASA we take safety seriously, thus (though we have no cases of Covid-19 at our premises, past nor present), we have still decontaminated our site as a precautionary measure.

It is compulsory for all FPASA staff and visitors to wear masks (minimum 3-ply) and to maintain social distancing at all times.

Remember: FPASA can assist you in Level 4 if you are deemed an essential service.

Edwards - Optica Smoke Detectors

Edwards

Our Silence is Making Some Pretty Big Noise

Minimize nuisance alarms and business disruptions with the new Optica Smoke Detector. Introducing the Signature Optica smoke detector from Edwards™, part of a next-generation detection system engineered for modern materials and environments. Already certified to UL 268 requirements, Optica's state-of-the-art sensor technology differentiates between burning food, steam, or multiple types of fires, and responds appropriately. Delivering smart detection that alarms faster and more accurately than ever before, Optica sets the standard for intelligent response to today's threats.  With the added element of CO monitoring, this detector pulls double duty: continually monitoring the environment for signs of fire, as well as an invisible yet deadly companion — carbon monoxide. For more information, visit www.za.firesecurityproducts.com or contact us via email on This email address is being protected from spambots.
